Sometimes teeth need to be removed if they’re non-restorable due to decay, periodontal disease, or trauma. One of the replacement options for this scenario is a bridge.
The Bridge Explained
- A bridge is a permanent replacement for teeth and is cemented in place, similar to a crown.
- A bridge includes preparing the teeth on either side of the missing tooth like we would for a crown, however the bridge will have a fake tooth in between the crowns and it a single unit replacing multiple teeth.
- The bridge process generally takes 2-4 weeks from start to finish.
